A safe, comfortable, non-toxic, and effective laser treatment for nail fungus

What is ClearSense?
Nail fungus is prevalent worldwide and up until now, has had very limited, ineffective, and undesirable treatment options. These options include topical antifungal creams that cannot penetrate the nail adequately to completely eradicate fungus, oral antifungals that may be hepatotoxic, or permanent removal of the nail. Sciton’s ClearSense technology heats the nail and the nail bed with laser energy resulting in a decrease of nail fungus and an increase in the growth of clear nails. With the ClearSense technology, your practitioner knows when he or she reaches the optimum clinical temperature, maximizing your treatment efficacy, comfort and safety.

What conditions can be treated with ClearSense?
ClearSense is a safe, effective and comfortable laser treatment for nail fungus.

How does the ClearSense treatment work?
After your physician determines you have nail fungus, the ClearSense treatment is easy to perform with zero down time. A typical treatment for all ten fingers/toes is 15-20 minutes. You may feel slight discomfort associated with heat during treatment, but there is no pain involved post treatment.

How many treatments will I need?
You may require 2-4 treatments depending on your nail fungus condition. Results are seen after the nail grows out in 4–12 months. Consult your physician about effectiveness and outcomes, and to discuss your treatment schedule.

What are the possible side effects?
No significant side effects have been reported. Patients may feel heat and slight discomfort at the time of treatment and mild redness briefly after that should resolve in 24 hours.

What aftercare do I need?
There is no discomfort after the procedure. You may resume normal activity immediately following treatment. It is recommended to use new shoes and wash socks and footwear thoroughly after treatment to prevent the spread of fungus.
